The Bismarck State College Innovations Foundation is currently in need of a Head of Department Technical Programs for technical training in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Location: National Power Academy, Dammam, Eastern Province, KSA Salary & Benefits: 337,500 SAR per annum ($90,000) BASE Accommodation Transportation Visa Medical Insurance Competitive Annual Leave and Holidays What does the role entail: Provide management of the NPA’s technical energy programs curricula and faculty. Develop customized technical energy curriculum for the NPA’s clients. Coordinate logistics and plan technical energy related activities. Assist the Dean to achieve and maintain KSA and International accreditation. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, reporting, standards, etc. within the technical energy programs. Promote and market the NPA’s programs. Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders. Recruit, train, and maintain a strong and diverse pool of faculty to deliver the NPA’s technical energy programs. Implement and monitor outcome measures and evaluation procedures for programs. Assist the Dean to prepare and monitor technical energy programs budgets. Perform additional duties designated by the Dean to achieve success of programs and meet mission of the NPA. Engage in student activities with other colleagues such as activity days and practical excursions to assist students in further developing their English ability. Skills/Abilities: Ability to develop and implement programs related to the NPA’s mission, vision, and philosophy. Proven experience in developing curriculum for technical Energy Industry programs. Strong facilitation and group leadership skills. Experience working with youth, schools, business, elected and government officials, industry, and/or community groups. Experience working in a leadership capacity with diverse groups. The ability to conceive, develop, and complete tasks without close supervision. Good organizational and interpersonal skills. Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills. Strong supervisory and budget development and monitoring skills. The ability to manage multiple tasks. Computer competency and proficiency in Windows/Microsoft Office environment. Administration and work in the fields of education and/or organizational development. Requirements: Hold a valid US Passport or transferable Iqama. Be a citizen of the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa. Hold Bachelor’s degree in energy or education related subject preferred. Have 3 years education program management experience. Meet Saudi Arabian visa requirements. Be motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about teaching as well as living in a foreign country. Start Date: November 2018 These positions are 1-year renewable contracts and on a single status basis.
